The SPT Portable Dishwasher is a great appliance that will save you the headache of having to roll a dishwasher up to your sink, hook it up, run the hose into the sink, load, and unload. This dishwasher installs right next to your sink, so you don’t have to hook it up every night. And it functions just like a built-in model.

This model does away with the need for permanent installation or direct plumbing, because it connects quickly to any kitchen faucet; and it doesn’t leak. The controls are easy to operate, and the time delay feature lets you program the machine to operate whenever you like, within a 24-hour period. The error alarm displays fault codes, and the Rinse Aid Warning Indicator and refill reminder help to keep things running smoothly.
There is no pre-rinse required with the STP Portable Dishwasher. It uses a scant amout of water – only 3.65 gallons per normal cycle. Water heats up to 154 degrees Fahrenheit, so your dishes get sparkly clean. Another “plus” is that it’s on casters, so you can easily roll it away when it’s not in use.
The size is great for just a few people: it will fit 2-3 pots comfortably, without getting in the way of the two spray arms. It holds a fair amount of dishes, and runs quietly. Generally, there is no unpleasant odor inside; but if one happens to develop, putting a cup of white vinegar in the top rack helps to dispel the smell.
the STP Portable Dishwasher doesn’t dry the dishes; instead, you must dry them manually, or let them air dry. It takes a long time to do a load- nearly two hours to finish the cycle. If you have a spray attachment on your faucet, you have to replace it to accommodate the dishwasher.
The sprayer must be removed first; then the attachment screws onto the head of the faucet. In addition, the hoses are only three feet long, and are located in the back of the machine. You must have the back of the appliance facing the sink in order to run a cycle. This makes loading challenging.
